and if I go with the above setup, what receiver should i get, other than Pioneer SC-1522-k, as its a little expensive at this moment. Should i go with Pioneer SC-1222-k ?

Thanks.

Yes, you have placement flexibility by getting three identical CMT-340 SE mains, where you don't if you go with the horizontal CMT-340 SE C for your center speaker.

And again, with a weekend's DIY building project, you could easily add the frame and mount the AT screen... this really is the very best option and you should have room to do it. If I had the room I'd set one up in a heartbeat. smile.gif

However, both receivers have pre-amp outputs allowing for the addition of more powerful amplifiers to drive your speakers if you want the extra oomph and clarity afforded by such amps.

What about the blu-ray player ?

I see there is a deal going on for Sony BDP-S590 in Newegg.

any idea about this one ?

Also there is Sony BDP-S185 for $45 on Newegg.

Thanks

Looks like the new Sony BDP-S5100 is fairly decent. Has a lot of streaming app choices too. Some other brands skimp here. Like the Oppo players, this one also accepts Super Audio CD's for high res. music with multi-channel capabilities.

Of the budget priced subs, this one is pretty darn good. Absolutely better than that particular Polk.

From time to time Newegg.com will have an even better sale, so you just have to get a price alert update (click the small button on the far right).
