Moving into our first house soon and wanna get some new equipment smile.gif
Our room is 11' wide and 15' long, with hardwood, 55'' TV will be mounted on the wall around 12' in front of us and I either want to hang some shallower speakers on the wall, or get shallower floor-standing ones.
It will be for movies mostly and I like smooth, softer sound, nothing too harsh and crisp.
Right now I have Polk RM6750 in my room and they're great, but it's in a bedroom.
I'd love to have speakers that are no more than around 6'' deep, the TV will be recessed into a wall a little bit, so a deep speakers will look really awkward.
They will be running off Denon AVR-1712

With those requirements it really sounds like you'll need wall mounts. Since you like your Polks, there's the OWM5.

In-wall could work in that space as well. There are some very shallow floor-standing speakers (mirage comes to mind), but I do agree on/in-wall may serve what you are looking for best.

I think it would be better for on-walls since they would flow better with the design.
I'm looking quickly at few manufacturers and I came across Paradigm Cinema line, the look is precisely what I need, but other than the look I know nothing about them smile.gif
Will need to grab a cup of coffe tomorrow and read about them on avs.
