Costco* It's hit or miss there. They were selling the Pioneer SC-1522K for $600 IIRC recently, and they have some good deals on TVs. I wouldn't expect to find many speakers there aside from the HTIB type most B&M stores carry.

Costco is not an electronics chain.

They will refund you membership at any time you request.

Personally I would keep the membership. Their grocery items are usually packed in large quantities and are priced about the same as if bought at a grocery store. Little to no savings, however your pantry will be well stocked.smile.gif

Costco has great warranty & return policies; however, their selection often seems to be 'end of the line' production runs.

I recently bought an 'end of the model year', higher end Sony 55" HX 850 TV for a great clearance price from a big box store as Costco had only lower end Sony models. Similarly, the same box store beat Costco's price on a Sony BD by 30%.

Like anywhere these days, check their price vs their competitors. Having 'Wholesale' in their name is a little disingenuous because their prices are certainly not wholesale throughout the store.

A couple of things I do like about them. They are a constant instigator of gas price wars locally plus their $1.50 hotdogs + drink is unbeatable.

Don't get me wrong, Costco is an overall great outfit & we spend a lot of dough there & generally save a lot of money. We are most happy to be members...

I think you can cancel your membership and get a prorated refund.
