Stick with the Klipsch 2.1 system then. It is a good performer for the money, and should work well for you. I however would recommend getting a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), to filter out interference from your PC. The Behringer UCA202 is a good choice, you plug it in via USB, and then connect it to your speakers via RCA. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=422094&Q=&is=REG&A=details Also, www.monoprice.com is a great place to get cables and not have to overpay.

Yes. It would work fine with the airmotivs. You would have to split the 2 channel output from your computer and run it to both the airmotivs and the sub.

hey guys thanks for all the input. i think ive decided to buy a pair of self powered speakers & add a sub later on rather then waste my money on a crappy 2.1 multimedia setup.

i came across a pair of Audioengine A5+ for $320 how do they compare to the Airmotiv 4's
audioengine also has the 8" sub i could always add down the rd

think im gonna go with the audioengine 5+ for $330 cause they have a larger woofer which should be better for bass until i add a sub if i choose to & the 5+ speakers are prewired to add a sub.
