Need the advice of you audio pros in here to help me decide between the pioneer sp-c22 or the bic america dv-62clrs. Since they are both in the same price range. Thanks in advance.

I dont understand why some will spend as little as possible on probably the most important speaker in a HT setup considering all the information it receives.

Regardless, if you dont want or can't afford at least a decent CC to match your main L/R speakers, then flip a coin and go from there.

It's usually because the person doesn't have that much money to spend on speakers in the first place and they are absolutely sick to death of listening to tinny little TV speakers for their sound, so the compromise and buy what they can afford, because no matter what, it's going to sound about a billion times better than any TV speaker.

+1 The prior response was useless.

The Bic has larger midrange, but you're better off trying to match with your pair of front speakers. Phantom center is also an option.

Just to get it out in the open early, what are your left and right main speakers?

He just bought a projector.....maybe he has no money left, maybe his significant other has set a budget or maybe he just doesnt care about the audio as much as having a "big" screen.

My advice still stands. Flip a coin.

BTW, what was your recommendation?

are you planning to buy a left and right speaker also?

You need to have the three speakers match so that they have the same tonal quality across the front stage.

The Pioneer BS-22 speakers are far and away the best budget speakers you can buy; at $100 per pair from Amazon, they are an incredible value.

No other speakers I know of for under $250 can touch them.

I would advise you to get those speakers and the matching Pioneer center speaker.

At the moment, I don't have one since AfroGT and Commsysman both answered up, so no need for me to make a recommendation.
