Today I bought the JBL Loft 40's since they were on sell at Fry's for $57 to use at my desktop for music and gaming. Now I'm looking for an amp to go with them. And I was thinking of picking up the LP-2020A+, but I'm not sure if it's powerful enough. And I'm hoping someone can tell me.

how loudly do you plan to play them? I use the LP 2020A+ with a pair of speakers that have a lower sensitivity than your JBL's and it plays louder than I could ever want.

you're not sitting far away since they are computer speakers. You should be just fine with that amp.

I probably just play them at average listening levels every now and them I might play them a little louder, and thanks for the reply.

The Onkyo TX-8255 receiver is only $140 from Amazon.

That might be a good possibility.

Hi

Old thread, I know,but I'm wondering if you can share your experience with the Loft 40s.  What do you think?  There's a great deal on 'em now, and I'm considering them for music listening, off a t-amp Topping TP20, in a small room.  I can't find any decent reviews, and there is no stock near me for a test listen.

Any feedback will be most appreciated.
