Hello All,

I ended up buying today the Logitech z506 surround sound system 5.1

I have to admit that I was very excited till I set up the full system, but now I am listening to the sound, and it is not the killer - for some reason-

my questions;

a) when I called Logitech crew today to ask for some help , the lady advised that I should get a sound card that is 5.1 adaptable for surround systems. Do you guys think that it is worth to pay another $100 for a good sound card? (sound card is more expensive than the speakers itself in this case!)

b) if you advise to get a good sound card, what brand would be a good recommendation?

Thank you all for your opinions!
B.

Since you think that your question relates to Home Theater and speakers in particular, I will give you a link that will direct you to a proper forum.

They are cheap PC speakers, they aren't supposed to blow you away. They will not sound great even with a new sound card.

Agreed. If they don't sound good to you, take them back and save some more money. smile.gif

Return those speakers they are terrible, and get yourself some fluance tower speakers or bookshelf speakers a decent receiver, or swan M50W, or a 5.1 setup polk or something or edifier if you want 5.1 sound, you get them for the same price as the Z906 from NCIX.
