So I've got 4 Mackie HR 824's and an M & K vr-1250 sub so far in my setup. These are studio quality (albeit outdated) and they sound pretty good in my opinion. However, I was looking into picking up a center speaker for the setup, and have seen a bunch if flack or and against this if it involves mixing brands. What does AVS think? Can I run a non-mackie center with the set up and if so do you have any suggestions?

Ideally, you would want to timbre match the front stage. Stick with Mackie. Try the hr626 as a center channel.
