hello i have a piar of model 400 nuance speakers that were purchased about 22 yrs ago. they are in very good to excellent condition i also have the original papers that they came with. does anybody know what they would be worth, they were selling for about 3000 for the pair at the time and i paid 1400 for them. thanks

They probably weren't selling many (if any) for $3000 if you got them for $1400. I have a bunch of Nuance in the house as well. Couldn't tell you what model they are, and I don't think it's even written on the back label. Unfortunately, Nuance doesn't have a good reputation because of the method they used to sell them, with Q-encoded sound effects (Can't say mine image much at all at home although they sound okay). In addition, they are long gone as a company. So they don't have much worth in the audiophile market.

It wasn't the method that didn't give them a good reputation, it was the extremely high pressure sales people, but it was mostly the really cheap cabinets and drivers that did it.

Don't know what your on about but Nuance no matter what they are made of or how they was Sold sound pretty good compared to 2000$ speakers of today I have a set of spatial 3,s and a set of Kef R800. "S and am torn between which are better but sidling with Kef for the uniQ tweeter it's pretty crisp

Indeed hopefully opinions have changed, I find people have the same issues with Energy .. Lol and I'm on the lookout for a Veritas sb10
