Looking at a pair of used Emp Tek E55Ti tower speakers, how much should I pay? It's in good condition, normal wear. I believe they're in the Polk Monitor 70 range, maybe a littler higher.

They sell for just under $700 a pair, so assuming the ones you're looking are in good shape, I'd maybe expect to get them for a couple hundred bucks off. Maybe like $500ish for the pair. That seems very reasonable to me, considering emptek usually has sales on them a couple of times a year for even less than the normal $700 asking price. They're nice speakers. I had Polk Monitor 60 towers and I think my emptek are far superior.

Of course, I got it modified with the TK-427, which cheeks it up another, maybe, 3 or 4 quads per channel.
