Looking for bookshelf speakers to fill a rather large room, they will stand on TV stand on both sides of TV, overall room size is 26x11
I like warm sound, nothing too harsh, and I'm 99% movie and 1% music smile.gif
They will be accompanied by Rythmik LV12R sub.

Below is my floor plan, so lots of space behind speakers.

For your upper range speakers, the effect on loudness is more strongly based on distance from the speaker to your ears, rather than the size of the room. In that context you are working with an 11 x 17 room with an approximate 12 foot listening distance which is only about mid-sized. You might want to consider a second sub to get more even bass distribution and dynamic range because that non-directional bass is going to get spread over a much larger space.

Lots of options in that price range. Ascend Sierras, SVS Ultra bookshelves, Philharmonitor. Some members seem to really like the sound of the Kef LS50. The Kef R300 is also a good contender.

Have to had prior speakers that you liked or disliked? Have to listened to any so far for this purchase?

I'd spend less on the speakers and more on the sub(s).

Klipsch RF-62II, RC-500, RS-400, SVS PC12+,
Def Tech SC8000
Harman Kardon AVR 1600
PS3, Apple TV, Sharp 70" Qattron

I would agree with what Kini62 said. You have a pretty good size room and your setup will be used for 99% movie use. I would spend a little less on your speakers and up your sub budget. And the very minimum I'd go with two XV15's from PSA or if you could dual FV15HP's from Rythmik.

Never had any speakers that I liked before, first house, moving in soon.
I cannot go crazy with bass, as this is townhouse, so neighbours on one side of the wall, the kitchen side, so maybe I'd stay with one Rythmik.
Wife would not allow 2 subs, for looks, she'd freak :P maybe down the road, I'd sneak one more sub somewhere if I would lack in bass.

Why not look at getting CMT-340's from Ascend Acoustics for your LCR's and you can order either a LV12R or FV15HP from them at the same time.

Along with the suggestions you received thus far you might also want to consider the Monitor Audio Silver or Gold series, PSB's Synchrony and Paradigms Studio Series.

If you take yourself too seriously, expect me to do the exact opposite

I'm looking at Sierra-1, gonna read a bit about it, see if it's any good for movies.
I also hear that Sierra-2 is about to be released late fall, interesting.

I really like the Martin Logan Motion 15 bookshelves, MSRP $800ea. The AMT tweeter is very good for movies due to the increased radiating area compared to a dome. They also sound way better than they should do for the price point with music.
