So, the better option is new at 349.99 VS the open box at $235 + remote + mike.

You can get the mic for $35, not sure how much the remote would cost you.

You should give Denon a call, explain you bought an open box receiver at Best Buy and they may send you the missing remote. Maybe the mic too.

I think you still get the 3 year warranty on the open box 2113 so if you can get those missing accessories for cheap or free go for the open box.

Nobody is recommending that anyone use an Audyssey mic with a Yamaha receiver. I don't see how that would be a good idea. Definitely would be best to get the same model mic that comes with the Yamaha.

I was referring to lulimet' comment that the Audyssey mic discussed worked fine with a Yamaha receiver, which suggests a lack of understanding of the necessity of mic calibration with room measurement software.
