cel4145 has a good point. The OP did not include a budget, but the speakers he referenced do provide some indication.
The KEF Q100 is $550 a pair and Q300 is 650 a pair. The Q200C is $450. So for the LCR it would be about $1000. Add an internet direct sub like the ones noted above and you would have a pretty good set up. If you have more money to spend, the OP can go for the R series.
A note about the Q series.
Each Q Series model features the following engineering elements learned from the Concept Blade Project:
- A newly engineered Uni-Q driver (size dependent on model)
- Brand new bass drivers featuring rigid new aluminium cone technology
- 30% more cabinet space for increased bass performance
- Newly engineered, gold plated bi-wire terminals
- Paper wood veneer available in three finish options
The most important innovation in KEF is the Uni-Q drivers. These may be worth reading about. I think that KEF has been able to offer some fairly advanced technology in these speakers for a pretty good value. Better bang for the buck than B&W for instance.
I concede that KEF is a more expensive brand than most, but Paradigm and Monitor Audio are equally top notch (fairly expensive) companies.
