I've got very little disposable income because of a recent divorce. Even though money is tight, I'd like to get a pair of rear speakers for my 5.1 setup. Is there something that will give me the best bang for my buck in the $100 range? And yes, I'm talking about $100 for the PAIR. :-)

I'm looking at something that can sit on a shelf or possibly be mounted on a wall. Not looking for in-wall or in-ceiling.

My fronts are the Axiom M60s
My center is the Axion VP150

Dayton B652's from Parts Express. I think they are $51 for the pair right now. They are pretty amazing speakers for the price.

Did a little digging on these. It sounds like the earlier version was great, but a newer version is crap:

Is there a size limitation?

What about Polk OWM3? They can be wall mounted or sit on a shelf.

I own a pair of the polks. I use them for heights. I got them for $69 from newegg about a year ago. They aren't very good speakers and I would never recommend them for anything but surrounds, but for the money, they're hard to beat.

I went with the Pioneer BS22s at Best Buy for $90. I had some reward points to use, so after tax I got the pair for $86. They're $127 on Amazon. Looks like these won't mount on the wall, so I'll have to figure something else out. Thanks all for your suggestions!

You can try this wall mount.

Well on second thought, you might not want to spend $35 on $90 speakers. smile.gif
