Hello,

I was wondering if anyone owns a pair of these Veracity HT2-TL could tell me how they sound and how
was the purchasing experience and customer service.

If you can also tell me what your using as source components.... I'm using a Marantz SR6005 as the pre/pro, a Parasound 5250 v.2
250 watt 5 channel amp and an Oppo BDP-83 blu ray player

I've read a few pro reviews and comments from very satisfied owners on the Salk Sound website, but I wanted
to solicit reviews from a source other than the Salk site.

I was considering the KEF R900's and from what i can gather, the Salks are better all around when it comes
to bass response and overall sound.

Thanks upfront to anyone who responds to help

Ron S.

Try the Salk thread. That's where you'll find the Salk experts.

In addition to the Salk thread here at AVS that BarnacleBill refers to, there is additional discussion in the Salk Signature Sound forum on AudioCircle.

Ron

I am a Salk SongTower owner (since 2007) and am very familiar with the sound of most of the other Salk speakers. I've heard the HT2-TLs often, and they are easily one of my favorite speakers at any price. I'd probably own them except for their higher price and larger footprint.

Did you read this review?

Jim Salk is without any doubt an excellent person and businessman. I have nothing but the best to say about his products and customer service. As I understand it, many others have had the same experience. Call him on the phone with any questions you may have, and you'll probably come away with the same opinion as mine.

With that electronic gear you should have no problems with HT2-TL speakers. Your amp is very powerful, and while the HT2-TLs do not require such power, they can easily handle it and benefit from the power. I think you'll like them driven by that amp.

If I were looking for a major improvement in sound quality for your system, I would buy an OPPO BDP-105.

For CD or SACD or other digital music sources, the improvement in sound quality over your old unit will be dramatic.

The SABRE DAC chips in the 105 are truly state of the art! The 105 competes with every player costing 5 times as much and beats them hands down.

At only $1200, it is an amazing bargain.

It even sounds better than my $6000 Ayre C5xe player.

I am using the Vandersteen Treo speakers, which IMO are some of the best in the world, and only cost $5995 per pair. If they are in your price range, check them out.

They will blow you away.

Like some already pointed out, the Salk speaker thread and Audiocircle. I currently have the Veracity ST's and they are just awesome. Check them out, they are similar to the HT2-TL's with a smaller footprint.
