Hello as I am new to this board.. This is actually my first post!!

I just bought a new YamahaRX-675 receiver adn the new Vizio 70inch tv and i'm looking to add speakers now. I would like your input please as Im on a budget.

Im looking to get maybe Polk Audio TSX-440T's and matching center channel, but have read great things about BIC America Accoustic tech series and Flaunce XL7F speakers. (what do you guys think)

I also have the Subs narrowed down to Cadence CSX 12, Bic F-12 or NXG BAS 500. I will be needing 2 subs also. I have been reading Jim Wilson reviews on subs and have been talking to ED Frias from EFE speakers/technology. Just trying to get the best that I can afford.

My room is 30x16 and 8ft tall and I will mainly use this for HT and just a little bit of music.

Any help would be great!!
Thanks in advance
Shadillac.

For mainly HT usage, towers don't add a lot of advantage over monitor sized speakers since you will be using a sub which could be crossed over at 80hz. Often a better version monitor can give better quality sound. A great compromise in between would be the Ascend Acoustics CMT-340 SE mini towers. Dual 6.5" drivers smile.gif

That's a big, big room, and the subs you are considering may be underwhelming in that size space.

I was kinda worried about the size of the room.

What if I ran the Cadence 15" 600w sub instead of 2 12"s. Would that help out any at all?

I have also been considering Polk RTi10's...

The Premier Acoustics PA-150 measures better than the 15" Cadence. It can typically be had for $350 from Acoustic Sound Design if you make them an offer. I would go for that in your size room unless you are willing to spend a lot more.

See data-bass.com in the systems section for links to more measurements for both subs.
