The Q100 should be a better sounding speaker than the Q300. Pocket it and enjoy the savings.

Theater room: Sony VPL HW30ES, DIY 100" screen with Seymour Centerstage XD, 5 Revel M105, 2 JBL Studio 210, 4 SVS SB12-NSD, Anthem MRX-300

Ok why is the Q100 a better sounding speaker? Also what about amp power requirements?

I don't think your Denon would come anywhere close to a B&K amp. Definitely would hold onto that amp. If anything I'd upgrade the sub. I almost bought KEF Q300s and PSB Image B6s before settling on my Totems. Best speaker I've heard for music. Incredible detail and imaging that always makes me say "wow."

The Q100 has better off-axis integration of the midwoofer with the tweeter, so it should give you better upper midrange/lower treble performance.

The Q300 should have better midbass performance.

So I wouldn't necessarily say one is better than the other. Each has a pro and a con. Final choice depends on your preferences, your room, listening levels, use of subwoofer(s), etc.

FWIW I auditioned both the Q100 and Q300 and kept the Q100. When played with a (good, accurate) sub I heard no advantages to the Q300.

To my ears ... compared to many (also excellent) speakers in their price range the KEF Q series have stand-out off-axis response and an uncommonly wide sound stage (maybe it's the concentric driver?). My listening space is wider than it is deep so this worked for me.
