If I purchase two different brands of front speakers to test in my home and happen to not like either, will they still accept a return on both of them? The reason I ask is because on their website it states that they "have the right to refuse any return." Also, it was in the media recently that people will purchase an item, return, then buy it later when it's an open box item at a discounted price. I guess Best Buy is catching on. That's not my intention, but it certainly may look that way if I spend around $750 and return it all within the 15 day window. Thoughts from anyone?

There isn't a restocking fee as far as I know, you could buy them both and return one pair at a different Best Buy biggrin.gif

Haha. I suppose I could. My guess is it won't be a big deal. I'm sure they have seen far worse. Plus, the last thing this company wants is someone bad mouthing them about customer service. They might be tanked in five years or less. Thanks for the thoughts.

No. I used to work there for a long time. They won't have any issue.

It's consistent customers who consistently bring in returns day after day that they start a return ban on.

If you dont do impulsive returning's constantly then you should be fine and also about the idea of going to another store ,BB have a system that tracks every single return from the same person.

I'm not a best buy fan and don't shop there for basically anything anymore (amazon guy) but this is the reason why they adopted their new return policy. Their new policy is return 2 items within a set amount of time and you won't be allowed to return anything else for like 90 days or something like that. I don't know of the actual stipulations but there is a thread in the deals section on people being banned from returning items.

Just saying watch out, I don't know if you have returned anything else recently, and I think it goes by your Driver's License Number when you return the item.

As long as it is actually sold and fulfilled by amazon, then yes they will. They will not match if the item is being sold by another seller through amazon (unless that 3rd party seller is also an authorized dealer)

You could buy one pair from BB and the other from Fry's or HH Gregg or something. But generally, I don't think it's a problem.

Yes i understand that on the items they sell in store, but they don't match no tax. I live in CO and I don't get taxed online, and I spend alot of money on electronics. I have spent alot of money on home theater equipment (4 projectors, 2 screens, AV Receivers, speakers, seating, etc.) in the last few years and the amount of money saved by purchasing online tax free is worth it for me. Plus bestbuy doesn't sell alot of the mid-to-upper end items I have been purchasing lately for my home theater.

I'm just saying I do my research ahead of time for long periods of time and then I purchase online instead of going into the stores for greater selection.

Pretty nice of Best Buy to let you do in-home auditions with brand new speakers, and then take them back! Of course they lose money on the returned pair, since they can no longer sell it as new, but what the hey! They make plenty of money anyway.

They dont price match if you already buy the item at best buy and later during the return period you found a better price on amazon.

the only do price match before the purchase.
