Hello everyone

Need some help deciding on speakers - based in Dubai:

1. Room size - 22X15ft - living room (apartment layout attached - spkr placement marked)

2. my prev system was tsi500 front, cs20 center, psw125 sw, tsi100 surr along with a Yamaha aventage 1020 - sold this system prior to relocation

I want to upgrade to a better system - in the price range of the polk RTI line. if you could suggest alternates. salesman keep driving me towards the deftech mythos sts or boston acoustics m250 clipped to denon x3000 avr. what jamo or wharfdale models would be comparables?

First- you have a live in maid? eek.gif

I really liked the Def Tech BPs I listened to. They were really nice for movies, some music sounded a bit weird with the bi-polar effect, but that could've been how they were setup in a crowed magnolia room.

Crutchfield has the BA M series on sale for buy one get one free, also the M series surrounds are discounted the same if you buy a set of towers. The center channel is "free" if you buy the M-sub at $1150. The center lists for $599. It's a nice deal since the sub would end up costing $550 which makes it competitive with other subs in that price range.

Klipsch RF-62II, RC-500, RS-400, SVS PC12+,
Def Tech SC8000
Harman Kardon AVR 1600
PS3, Apple TV, Sharp 70" Qattron

Sounds like you're already familiar with Polks. The RTiA would definitely be an upgrade over your TSi's, even the A5 over the 500. The A7's would be very nice. I owned the M70 (TSi500) and jumped up to the A9', what a difference. The CSiA6 or CSi5 center would be a huge jump over the CS20 as well.

Good hunting, post what you end up with.

Spinning the rear tire at 150mph while at 3/4 lean angle will put wrinkles in your seat

Set up:
