I'm looking for higher-end speaker wire that looks something like the ones shown in the link below. I have some exposed speaker wire for rear bookshelf speakers because of their wall mounts and wanted something that looks nicer. One end is with banana plugs to go into the wall plate the other just needs to connect to the terminals on the speakers. I'm guessing I can just cut the other end of the speaker wire or get some without banana plugs.

I dont want to break the bank but would like to know which ones you call recommend and fit the bill. I dont have the time to DIY as I just had a baby.

Thanks!

Really, since they will not change the sound even one iota, just pick the cheapest good-looking speaker cables you find. Those you linked seem like a good buy for short money.

You want speaker cables that look like the one you linked to, get one and cut it and make up 2 of what you want.

Comedian are everywhere! The best looking cable is HIDDEN cable! But as pointed out, expensive cable sound exactly the same as cheap cable!

i just had a newborn and dont have the cycles to go the DIY route...

anyone know if 1ft jumper speaker cables are essentially the same as regular speaker cables. I'm guessing it says jumper due to the short length and intended purpose of patching connections with the use of wall plates.

any other suggestions on 1ft cool looking cables?

Speaker wire, is wire, is wire, is wire...

In other words, there's no need to go crazy.

Get some tech flex, speaker wire and a set a banana plugs and you should be good to go. If you want to get a little fancy, follow the DIY speaker cable thread posted above.

The OP has now stated twice that he has no time nor interest in going the DIY route. I know it is simple, but all of our perception is different.

Congrats on the new baby but it takes 5-10 minutes max to add banana plugs to speaker wire.

Buy this 3 ft speaker wire with banana plugs
http://sewelldirect.com/Silverback-Speaker-Wire-by-Sewell-Enhanced-Loud-Oxygen-Free-Pure-Copper-259-Strand-Count-3-ft-Terminated.asp

Cut it to 18" or 12" whatever you need. Add more banana plugs to the end you cut. They're very easy to install.

That's it. Takes less time than it does to go back and forth on this thread.

Heck, buy the 3 ft speaker wire with banana plugs, cut it in half, strip, and screw on the wire to the speaker connectors. Your little one won't be able to pull them out of the speaker someday.

dual-quad geometry !? It would be worth every penny if someone could explain what that is and how this speaker wire has it!

OK, my bad. I'll admit that I do realize what the OP has stated, and perhaps offered an ill advised suggestion. What do you suggest, that differs from the advice already given by myself and others?
