Hi everyone,
This is my current setup:
Pioneer VSX-921-K 7.1
Front Speakers: Cambridge S30
Centre : Cambridge S50
Sub: NXG NX-BAS-500C
REAR SURROUND: Paradigm OM-100
REAR: Onkyo SKB 570

My room size is about 16 x 20

I am thinking about purchasing the Cambridge S70 to replace the front S30 speakers. I would then use the S30 for the rear surround to replace the Paradigm. I would then either use the Paradigm for the rears or scrap the rear speakers & just go with the 5.1 setup.
My other thought is just stay with my current setup. Maybe even just scrap the Onkyo's and go with the 5.1 setup.
My real question is for another $300 for the S70's am I gaining much? Are the towers really necessary with my Sub or is the Sub sufficient?
Does anybody have any thoughts/opinions on this. For the price of the Cambridge S70 am I really gaining much for sound quality? Please respond. All comments welcome.

The s70 is fuller sounding and can handle more power than the s30. When you turn up the volume on your current system do you notice your S30's straining at all?

Do you listen to music or is this strictly for hometheater use?

If you listen to a lot music I'd go with towers up front.

With the prices at A4L, I'd upgrade it all day in this situation. Stick with 5.1 and ditch the other stuff.

I am not hearing any straining so far but I just set this up recently. I definitely use this system more for music than home theatre. Thanks

If music is your priority then the larger towers would help

Thanks for your assistance. I have ordered the S70's.
This what my setup will look like:

Pioneer VSX-921-K 7.1
Front Speakers: Cambridge S70
Centre : Cambridge S50
Sub: NXG NX-BAS-500C
Rear Surround: Cambridge S30
Rear:: Paradigm OM-100 (I will decide if these are required. If not I will use them elsewhere in the house)
