Get the best center you can possibly afford, even if its different. I used to run rc62ii between my f30s, great combo. I now run rc64ii between rf82ii, even better combo.

+1. Get the best center you can afford. Bigger is better

To me the reference line is much better. I had a chance to compare the rf82s to the f-20s side by side and everything is so much better. That Ti horn is a lot better than that cheaper driver.

RF-82 and F-20 belongs to two very different leagues and price difference is huge. would you compare merc E550 for 90K and camry LE for  22K?

:)

I own pair of F-3 and very familiar with F-2. F-3 producing much heavies and more life like sound. as far as I know they changed design a bit but didn't touch internals so F-30 should sound far superior to F-20 too.

F-30 are very good speakers considering their sound, look and price and at $200 a pc they are simply increadable front speakers.

I use my F-3 with RC-62II to me and a few more ppl who own much more expensive HT they sound very good and timbre difference is not an issue.

C-2 is a pretty weak center for F-30 anyway, you better go bigger.

That was my original front sound stage. They do sound great together, and any mismatch in sound was negligible. And what is wrong with having a better center anyways? Is arguably the most important speaker in home theater

The 2 8" woofers when driven with a good amp are killer!

I originally purchased a Klipsch Synergy C-20 and returned it. It was made of plastic and did sound inferior relative to the F-30s. I purchased a RC-500 and a pair of RS-400s from Crutchfield. I am happy with the sound and they sound well matched to my novice ear.

Now I just need to upgrade my subwoofer! Anyone have any recommendations to of with my setup?
