I am finishing my basement - open concept, no separate room, approx. 1000sq ft.  Think of a square cut in four equal parts, and the "tv room" is in a quadrant of the room.  Loads of issues but what I would like to know is I am thinking of creating 7.1 sound as I have lots of space.  I have a Yamaha HTR-6160 receiver which can handle 7.1 and Bose Acoustimass 10 series iv speakers.

What would you suggest for the 2 rear speakers to add to this system?  I don't really want to change the receiver or speakers as I bought them a few years ago but they've been in storage.  Thanks!

We'll, the Bose accustimas satellite speakers aren't nearly big enough for decent HT! I would recommend getting a front stage and use the Bose sat speakers as surround, then get a real sub.

Set up #1: EMP e5ti, e5Ci, and SLS Q line Audio surrounds, EMP 10i10i sub
Set up #2: Def Tech SM450, CLR2002, SLS Qline surrounds and Klipsch 12wD sub
Set up #3: JBL130, JBL120C and Klipsch synergy sub

You can buy a couple more double cube satellites on ebay if you want to keep the speakers the same.
