Greetings!

I was hoping to get some answers on a center channel. I went the klipsch route and ended up buying two RF-62 II and returning my hkts60 system(a speaker blew its woofer after i played, bassotronics-bass, I love you, at -30db)

I have the following:

Yamaha RXV-675

Klipsch sw110 sub.

RF-62 II x2(front)

My room is 14'x14'x8'

I've been reading a lot about the RC-62 II, and the Infinity Primus p351, primus has lots of good reviews on amazon...

Which one should I get? I just want a nice balance with really good clarity. Since the center channel handles voice etc.

Someone said that the center channel must always match the front speakers.

and lastly, would it be safe to place my tv on the center channel?. my tv is a led screen, around 58lbs. When the tv goes on top of it, center channel would be at perfect ear level.

Please advise =)

thanks!

You will definitely want the RC-62. The Infinity will not be timbre matched for the RF-62s, and you will end up with a schizophrenic front stage, especially given Klipsch's unique voicing. Panning sounds will be all wrong. Always make sure your front stage is matched. It doesn't matter as much for the surround speakers, and it doesn't matter at all for the subwoofers.

As for placing the TV on the center, it shouldn't really hurt it, but that is speaker dependent with respect to the weight of the TV. I would send a message to Klipsch's support for an answer to that.

+1 mixing horm and dome tweeters across your front stage would likely be an audio disaster
