I currently have the rc-52 II with matching surrounds and bookshelf's up front. I would like to test some different speakers to see if I am missing anything. I live in an area that makes it difficult to test a lot of speakers. I would like to compare these to a dome tweeter based system. I am thinking about buying a pair of Def Tech 1000 Bookshelf to see if there is a reason to switch my system. Worst case scenario I could sell them for a small loss on craigslist. So I am asking for suggestions on if I should give the Def Tech a shot or compare using another pair. I am happy with the klipsch but like you all I am always looking. Thanks for any suggestions.

Anyone have any experiences switching from klipsch to something else or am I being too picky considering I like my set up I just have the feeling I have missed out with lack of listening experience?

You'll find as many people on one side of that fence as on the other. No friends with systems that you could test at home?

Remember, it's called "AV Science"!
