Hi guys,

Need some help here. I have been using the Harman Kardon HKTS 20BQ 5.1 speaker system for a while now, it sounds pretty good but the bass is not deep enough. I am wondering if adding a powerful 10inch sub woofer as a second sub would be a good idea or may be replacing the original one altogether with a 12 inches one? Please give me some suggestions. Thanks )

I would replace with more power. I have a 10 with ample power to it and it gets plenty deep and loud. I am a bass head too and this was the only item that was never updated through my whole audio collection.

I agree with these guys. The PB-1000 is the best sub you'll get for $500. Very powerful 10" sub smile.gif

Thanks for the input guys, i have heard about SVS a lot too, i guess this is a good option. One question though as i m not sure if its a good idea, should i just use it along with the current sub(my AVR supports 7.2 channel) or remove the old one? I mean 2 different kind of subs running at the same time might create incorrect base...not sure. I m not a pro so need your input on this too smile.gif Thanks in advance.

Donate the Harman Kardon sub to Goodwill.

Or save it. If you upgrade your speakers one day, you could use two of the HK speakers and that sub to make a nice computer desktop speaker system. smile.gif
