The Cat8's aren't too bad. It's those Cat12's and SubMersives that are a b!tch to carry. Thanks Mike for making the effort of bringing them in.

Will be going to the airport in about an hour and should be landing around 4:00pm if there are no flight delays. I'm so looking forward to this weekend. biggrin.gif

I just weighed the packaging alone.

65 pounds.

Heavier than many speakers I used to own.

Very well done.

I'll be bringing the floor plans of the house that we are building in the spring. Would like to bounce some ideas around with you guys regarding the HT in the basement. Good sized rooms and reasonable height so there is plenty of flexibility.

Looks great sir!
Just in time is right! Here's to a fun Friday night evening spent tinkering. cool.gif
There will be multiple IT guys present - provided everything works out I think one of us is going to try to set up a ustream - but no promises until we get it up and working. tongue.gif
We're going to have to send everyone upstairs in between switching out setups. I'm thinking during that time you guys can throw around the Beymas, Sibuna's setup, and the S8's. I've got the Onkyo 818 setup, 4X SI18s to handle the low end, and I'll be bringing up the XLS2000 so there isn't a shortage of power. biggrin.gif

If you do get it working. Please provide a link.

Will do...that reminds me. Anyone have a webcam we could use? If not I could try to stop at bestbuy if I can leave work early enough today. tongue.gif I know Austin is bringing his go-pro and imagic will be by in the morning to take a bunch of pics and document the setup as well.

Also - Lunch has been ordered for tomorrow! If this place is half as good as it usually is, you guys are in for some awesome Philly food!

Ustream would be awesome.

I have a webcam I can lend you...it's 720p widescreen, has a built in mic, and works well in low light, so should give a great video on Ustream. It's an HP 3100 and connects via USB. I'll give it to Austin today so he can bring it.

Sitting at PHL waiting for MtG, speaker designer extraordinaire to arrive. Not sure where he's gonna sit in here with these monsters.... We might have to strap a SEOR to the roof rack

I am getting ready to box my Noesis up in a bit. It certainly will be allot better than moving the Triax's. I am willing to bet that you will never see a Triax at a GTG. What a PITA to move those things.

Agree, the only way you will see one is if the person hosting it has a triax!

Are the Noesis the only JTR speakers you are taking? I thought I saw something about other JTR speakers you have lying around.

You have 212's right? Will there be 228's there too? I just ordered LCR's of these early this week.

3 - JTR 228's LCR (game room)
2 - DIY Sound Group V-8 Coaxials (game room)
4 - PSA Triax's (game room)

Yeah I have a pair of 212's and I have 4 single 8's that will be going in my theater, I am using two right now and have two still boxed up. I will be bringing two of them along with the 212's tomorrow. I have one 228 that is used for a center.

Thanks

I almost went the opposite way. Considered 228's for L and R and 212 for the center. Not sure if that would be a benefit. I have enough room for the center but not L and R 212's, bought too wide of a screen....

This might not be such a bad idea. I listen to music on 5.1, basically the vocals are all routed to the center channel, and having the best possible speaker in that instance is great. I just love the vocals from the 212s.. they are absolutely incredible. I have yet to hear anything better.. (I am not saying the 228s aren't good.. that's not it.. but if you can fit a 212 and money is no object, then why not go all the way?)

I may call Jeff and run it by him. It could save me money in the long run as I will have an AT screen at some point and could then just move the 2 228's to surround duty and buy 2 more 212's for L/R
