I am considering replacing my Polk LSi-9s fronts
with Magnepan Super MMGs.
IS this going to be a worthwhile upgrade? I am not looking for lots of punchy bass to rattle the house. I have a sub for that. Just the two front speakers that will produce a more detailed, transparent and midrange-clean musical sound.
Here is my setup:
AVR - Pioneer Elite VSX-53
Power Amp - EMotiva XPA-3
Sub - Sunfire HRS-10 (1,000W)
The room is medium to small size opening on the right side into a very large atrium with steps to the upper floor on the other side. The room has a problem with bass (the way around, I think )
So, these current LSI-9s are plenty for me. I listen to music at -40 to -30 (out of the -80 to +10 AVR volume range)
Who has experience with these Magnepan Super MMGs? Particularly, in settings similar to mine with a similar gear?
Thanks a lot, everybody.
