I've been reading these forums for about a year, but I've never posted anything. Since reading these forums I have purchased the Outlaw LFM-1plus, Panasonic 60GT50, and the Yamaha RX-A2020. I love all 3 of these components. Currently my speakers are the following (all Polk): TSI300 fronts, CS10 center, Owm 5 surrounds and rears. My dedicated theater room is about 2,800sf with no openings to other rooms (except doors). My room is about 50/50 music to HT. Though I do think everything sounds very nice, I would like to upgrade my center and fronts for better mid-range and sharpness. It seems some think all the speakers should have comparable tweeters, while others think as long as the fronts and centers match, the surrounds and rears will be okay.
So the 2 fronts I have been looking into are the Focul Chorus 727V available at accessories4less at $900/pair. This is at the absolute ceiling of my budget. The polk ebay site has the RTI10 for $670/pair. Whichever fronts I get I will get a matching center.
I get that the MSRP of the Foculs is considerably higher than the Polks. Is it reasonable to think YPAO on the RX-A2020 could balance the difference between the Foculs and my Polk surrounds?
