I Guys,

It's my first thread here and i'm happy to join the community :)

I live in a loft, and my "living room" is a 10 feet x 10 feet.  I have to choose between this 2 sets of speakers :

1) http://www.costco.ca/ProductDisplay?storeId=10302&catalogId=11201&productId=286157&partNumber=100073999&langId=-24

2) http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/energy-energy-take-classic-ii-5-1-speaker-system-6-speakers-take-classic-ii/10151145.aspx?path=4e77ac193099109ed134cc86edff58feen02

The second one will drop at 449$ + tx tomorrow.  I had 2 other speakers in my bathroom.  I want to connect all this on a good amp.  I know, the first one is just a 5.1 amp.

My needs it's a lot of music, good movies (bluray all the time) and Gaming on my PS3 too :)

Help me please :)

Thx a lot

I'd go with #2 and pick up a receiver to go with it. Maybe a Denon E400 or something is the X series ( X2000 or X3000 ) if you have a bigger budget.

HD-DVD = 94
Blu-Ray = 120 ( 24 Warner red2blu )

Ok thanks guys.  I can't go with your option afrogt, because with the configuration of the space I can't put a tower like this.

Hey jeans64, why you choose the take classic and not the klipsch option?

Thx

The Energys are much better than the cheapo Klipsch.

Dumb enough to spend lots of cash on this junk!

Finally i bought the take classic II with the denon E400.  The sound is good, but to have good sound with my game or music i need to put the volume of the amp around the 45 - 50.  When i put it at 20 I hear nothing.  The max vol. is 99. I'm so newbie sorry guys.  My connection is very simple.  I have a ps3, my amp and my TV.  Everything is connected with HDMI.  My speakers cables is a monster gauge 16.

I checked on the forum and i found nothing for configure my amp with my 2 bathroom speakers.  I don't know how to configure the multi zone.  Do you have a link for a tutorial please.

Thx a lot

How to set up Zone 2 starts on page 93 of your Denon manual.

Basically. Connect your bathroom speakers to the Surround Back L & R terminals on the back of the E400. Set your " Assign Mode " to " Zone 2. " Use the remote to select and power up Zone 2 and then select your in put device. Of course, you'll only be able to have a 5.x main zone while using zone 2. I'd just temporarily run wires along the floor first to make everything works then make the connection permanent by running the wires in wire channels at the base boards or run inside the walls and either down to crawlspace or up to attic. 16 gauge wire is easy enough to hide along the baseboard without going through the expense of CL2/CL3 wire for in-wall.

Ok thx a lot jevans.  I will try it tomorrow :).  I don't want to bother you with my thousand questions, but I want to know if is it possible to play my music in stereo in the 7 speakers.  Because now when I play it in the 7 speakers, I don't like the result, I have the voice in the center, a guitar in the bathroom and my song doesn't sound like usually lol.

Thx a lot

(I owe you a beer man :))

Forget my last question, I download the denon remote app on my iPhone (free) and I found the option Multi Ch Stereo.  Wow now my system is perfect :).  I'm so happy
