http://www.bestbuy.com/site/rti-a7-5-0-home-theater-speaker-package/1307209271.p?id=mp1307209271&skuId=1307209271&st=%20Polk%20Audio%20RTI%20A7&cp=1&lp=1

I just priced this setup from Amazon, can't believe how much Best buy is over charging for the "package"

Polk Audio RTI A7 Floorstanding Speaker (Single, Cherry)
499
Polk Audio CSI A6 Center Channel Speaker (Single, Cherry)
349
Polk Audio RTI A3 Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Cherry)
329

1177, BB has the same setup for $1800!!!! unbelievable. I am trying to see if this would be good for my room, not quite sure on my dimensions, i think its a 10 by 12 room, i will have to get the dimensions tonight but seeing if anyone else has the setup and what they of it?

For a room that small, I would think there are plenty of better options for that price.

Ascend Acoustics come to mind. A system built around their 340's could well be a better choice.

You do realize that's ONE tower, one center and two bookshelf speakers? I think you probably want to add another RTI A7 for $499. That brings the price to $1676 for the 5 speakers, only $120 less than Best Buy wink.gif

You only priced four speakers from amazon. You need to add 499 to your total.

a 10 x 12 room isn't that big. You would probably be more than satisfied with this setup for $680 shipped.

2 Cambridge Audio S70 towers at $150 each

1 Cambridge Audio S50 center at $200 each

1 pair of Cambridge Audio S30 bookshelf speakers at $180/pr.

And he could spend some money on a good sub and still come in way under what he has budget.

Good suggestion.

My setup
Rtia7 l/r
Csia6 center
Fxia6 surrounds (better then rtia3 for surrounds)
All powered by an onkyo818
I gotta say I love it, the towers do have decent bass, I have no sub yet but saving up for one, but the a7's even tho leave me yearning for more will satisfy for the time being bass wise. This setup is awesome for movies and good for music.
My sugestion to you is to check out polk's eBay store, the a'7s are $399 each there refurbished and still carry a 2/yr warranty. And all my speakers look and sound brand new. The ebay store is highly recommended in the polk forums and I have only heard of one issue which was resolved quickly and easily.
I also suggest you look at the rti line which was replaced by the etia line, they just have different aesthetics
Rti10 =rtia7
Csi5 = csia6
Rti6 = rtia3.

Remember that best buy also does price matching if you really want to buy new. newegg and amazon have sales on polks all the time.

The polk subs aren't really recommended tho, the psw505 gets mentioned around the forums as a decent budget sub but that's about it
