what is the best way to connect the Onkyo 626 to the diamond 10 mx-sub to get the best quality output ?

I am connecting as a 5.1 configuration and bi-amping the front speakers only (?)

below are pictures of the back of each device.

I got many suggestions, this is why I got confused.

1-  use a Y cable from the LEFT pre OUT subwoofer to the left and right input of the sub.

2- use 2 separate cables  from the LEFT pre OUT subwoofer to the left input of the sub and from right to right.

3- use one  cable only from the LEFT pre OUT subwoofer to the left input of the sub

Any other ??

Apreceate any help I can get.

Doesn't really matter how you connect the sub. The Onkyo has only one internal sub channel. Connecting to both the LR inputs on the sub will increase the gain by about 6db (so I'm told), which is useful if the auto on feature is not very sensitive. It does nothing that adjusting the gain on the sub won't do though. So if you don't have a splitter or only have one cable, don't worry about it.

As for bi-amping from your AVR your wasting wire and your time.
