Well, it would be coming from amazon so I don't think think it should be a problem. I hope...

If it's coming from Amazon or Fulfilled by Amazon, I agree and definitely wouldn't worry about it. They are good about covering return shipping if there is a problem. 3rd party vendors that do their own shipping via Amazon are a different story.

Saw a deal for dayton audio subs, but deciding between the 12" and 15" subs for my pioneer speaker setup. I listen about %50 music and movies.

I don't know that I have heard anyone compare the two, but I would imagine the 15" to be better overall.

How tight is your budget on the sub? The NXG NX-BAS-500 has been described as a very musical sounding sub. zieglj01 has the Aviano 7 and has repeatedly said how great it sounds. It certainly can be worth stepping up. A sub is a big driver and enclosure AND an amp. So expensive to make a good one. You definitely get good gains in performance by spending a little more.

I was thinking $200 for the sub. I've heard good things about the 12" dayton sub, but I couldn't justify the shipping rates from their site unless I went for the 15" dayton sub.

Hmm. I'd suggest 2 SUB-1200 for not much more.

I will probably up the money and spend it on the nxg NX-BAS-500, since the room is not big enough to support two subwoofers. Then there is the thought of getting a good receiver, which I have narrowed down to the Denon x1000. I'm just waiting till I April to get the receiver or whenever a sale pops up.

5.1 surround sound should be plenty for the room I'm putting it in. Room dimensions are approximately 11x10x7 (in feet). If I use the full size of the room, it would approximately be 11x20x7.
