I need t install two pation speakers at 4ohms and two living room speakers at 8ohms .
Will be using the amplifier's two speaker "Stereo" outputs and switch between A/B speaker pairs. Would also like to power A+B speakers at the same time.
Amplifier rated for 8ohms 100W + 100W.

I think I'm facing the following options:
ONE- Buy a speaker selector switch with Inpendance protection, which are kind of expensive.
TWO- Buy two 8ohms patio speakers and use a basic, unprotected selector switch.

Which is the correct option?

My Amplifier:
Sony Multi channel AV Receiver Model STR-DH800

Why you looking at 4 ohm out door speaker? They sell plenty of 8ohm outdoor speakers. Get a pair of those for outside and use 8 ohm speakers inside

You will be able to run a pair outside and inside to play the same music by selecting SP A+B pg33 of manual (
