Just ordered the pioneer andrew jones system and the center channel is a huge 7.25" tall. and will block my flatscreen which sits on a cabinet if I were to place it in front of the tv. what's the cleanest method to mount the center channel or other options? I just spent a big chunk of change on tv, receiver, cabinet, ps4 and speakers... so this has to be clean. tia for your suggestions, I'd prefer something I could order/buy versus building something custom.

You could build a custom riser for your TV to sit on or get something like one of these.

You can just take some 3-inch thick boards and paint them and put the TV on them.

Actually, in my case I didn't even paint them; I just covered them with a black towel.

Or you could get the Cambridge Audio S50 center speaker, which is very good and more compact.

OP Please ignore this advice unless you have Cambridge Audio S30's or S70's speakers.

Matching center is always the right move. The Cambridge S50's is not the matching center to the Andrew Jones Pioneer Speakers rolleyes.gif

He's beginning to sound like employee with agenda, doesn't he recommend CA and NAD all the time?

As for those stands, well I guess if you have a lightweight stand. But my center is 11kg, also what if you have a desktop stand, doesn't sound too smart with that weight up height (alters COG)

I had this problem myself...can't fit ontop of TV as this bezel (unlike CRT direct view) mount of the floor in front and gets in the way. If the center is on the same shelf as the TV, the center sits proud of the image. So I had to fork out £200 for a new stand with adjustable shelf, and adjustable TV height to know the two would be correct (TV correct height) and center (high as possible but without blocking the image)

Bose Jewel speakers.

Jealous of my speakers?

well I already have the speaker anyhow, so advice ignored. smile.gif

I will check out the links above. Thanks guys. I thought about raising the tv as well I'm just not sure how clean it would look as my tv is visible from the side.

I looked for a stand like that, however I wanted a closed system and cabinet doors because I have a very "active" 19 month old boy. I went with the system below. Just need to figure out the center channel.

figured I'd close the loop on this. What I did was buy a shelf and some decorative brackets form Home Depot for under $20. Taking my time to level and measure I ended up with a solution that I like. The shelf is sturdy (and leaves room for the wife to put up some more crap) haha. It does angle a little but not enough for me to be concerned (the first picture was not a great angle and makes it look a lot worse than it is) With a level the bubble is only slightly off. I've yet to setup the whole system to verify it sounds good but I don't see why it wouldn't.

Wasn't crazy about drilling holes and mounting as we might move in a few years, but it's a nice shelf for any use and when I realized I had to mount the rears, I figured might as well go all in.
