Hi all. I am moving to a new apartment in about a month. My bedroom is about 13' by 13'. I would like to setup surround in that room, but with it being kind of small, I'm wondering if dipole or bipole speakers for surrounds would be the way to go? I will be using Energy CB-20 speakers for my fronts and the Energy CC-10 for my mid. I picture myself watching movies sitting in my bed, with my bed pushed up against the opposite wall from my front speakers. This means my rears will have to be more to the side of me than actually behind me. My budget would be around $300 for a pair of speakers. What do you all think? Thanks!

I have never heard of HTD. Are their speakers a good bang for my buck? Also, do you know how well they would match with my Energy speakers? Thanks for your input!

Great! Thank you! Would these be positioned in the upper corners of my room, 90 degrees from my sitting position, or how should these be set up?

I use dipole for the sides, and bipole for the rears. These speakers are best when you're close to the side/surrounds, otherwise with monopoles they're too distracting.

Bipoles can work on the rear and sides, but dipoles should be used on the side only.

Bose Jewel speakers.

Jealous of my speakers?
