The 311 is not a dual ten sub. It has one ten inch driver. It has dual passive radiators, which is the equivalent of having two ports, because passive radiators serve the same function as ports.

I view 12" the minimum driver size for home theater. You can get by with smaller ones in some rooms for music but you may not be satisfied with a smaller one for home theater.
