I'm in the final stages of design for my parents' retirement home. I hope to have some interesting things to share on the whole house audio setup in later threads, but for right now I'm interested in advice for bookshelf speakers for a music listening setup on a sun porch.
The room is 15' x 19', 10ft ceilings. The listening will be done along the long axis of the room. I'm planning on using the Teac A-H01 amplifier, paired with the SVS SB1000 subwoofer. Where I run up against my limits is choosing a bookshelf speaker sensitive enough for the amplifier with good sound characteristics. Budget is somewhat up in the air, but definitely want to spend above $200 and < $800 for the pair.
Content will be entirely music, no TV in this room.
