I just found out today that the sound system I was so impressed with is a Meyer sound system with UPQ-1P as front speakers and dual 600 HP as subs. The clarity and dynamics are superb, and the bass tightness and power is simply outstanding, by far the best I've ever heard.

Is there anything cheaper that can get me speakers with similar sound signature to the Meyer sound system? Would the Noesis speakers from JTRs come close?

Thanks

I'd look into the DSR115 or JBL-PRX635. They are active speakers. The compression driver is a little smaller than the one on the meyer upq-1p but they should be similarly dynamic and impactful. If you can spend a little more, the SRX725 has a 4 inch compression driver like the meyer. The max output on all three of these are similar to the max 136db of the meyer.
