I'm making a waterproof radio for my float trip. I'm using a cheap waterproof touch screen phone behind a waterproof stereo cover. 2 cheap waterproof speakers off Amazon. Firs off. Not sure if I will need an amp. Do t need it crazy loud. And 2nd. I know I can charge phone with cheap solar power panel. But how much juice will speakers take. Thanks.
I have a BOOM Swimmer bluetooth speaker which is a waterproof speaker I use with me on my boat and shower. The thing has plenty of volume. Not sure how much power it needs when its charging but it uses a simple micro USB cable to charge.
But anything built right will last. I mean. The $20 speaker gets good reviews. I don't want a boom box but louder then phone speaker. Wanting total cost to be closer to $60.
I am making a pvc waterproof stereo out of pvc pipe for my float trip. I'm using this Cheap radio... http://m.ebay.com/itm/251512078359?nav=SEARCH . I also may have a phone hooked up. I'm needing a 12v battery to fit in 2"pvc. Only needs to last 8 hrs or so on a low volume. Will have small solar charger as well. Maybe 1watt. Dc car battery? Open to anything. Haven't built anything yet
