I'm looking to add rear surrounds to a 7.2 setup but I do not have much space for them,

I think the best i can squeeze somewhere would be small satellites about the size of those bose cube things or maybe a tad bigger. Maybe wall mounted or on some stands.

Any recommendations? Not looking to spend a lot on these...maybe $300ish for the pair max.

How about a pair of NHT SuperZeros? I use them as surrounds and love them.

Adjusting settings according to personal preference is not

Are these Monoprice speakers any good?

http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=109&cp_id=10906&cs_id=1090603&p_id=10800&seq=1&format=2

I know good is very relative....but are they worth a darn for some rear surrounds?

I'd look at speakers from Infinity's Primus line or Pioneer's Famous Designer line. Both are good enough to rate a favorable technical review in Stereophile.

Watch Best Buy, Frys, and Amazons for sales - some of the sale prices are unbelievable low! BB may price match Frys.

Well you can buy 10 pairs for around $630 dollars!

I would look at the Focal Sib - and the stand will double as a wall-mount

For cubes the size of Bose, Cambridge Minx:

They also come in double height cubes.

Learn about them in this thread: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1339511/cambridge-audio-minx-satellite-speakers-and-home-theater-systems-discussion-thread

I'll throw Orb Audio and Mirage Nanosats into the mix.

If you really don't have room for 7.2 is there an advantage in doing it? A good 5.2 would be better than a compromised 7.2
