Speakers for Audio in a Large Rec Area.

Hello All,

Hoping to get some advise on how or what to do, to get decent quality sound covering in a somewhat large rec area of my basement. The basement is under construction, and I'd like to run wires now to the general areas that I will have speakers.

I have a sixteen channel in ceiling / in wall setup on the main floor, but am looking for an independent system for the rec area, with a better quality than background music.

I want to fill the space the best I can. I was hoping to pre-wire for speakers in the rec area, and also pre-wire for two channels outside the patio door as well. with the rec area being relatively large, and L shaped to boot, I'm struggling trying to determine where to place speakers for a good sounding audio coverage.

The area I'm concerned with is highlighted in red on my attached plan.

The theater will have its own independent AV setup.

Hoping to gather some ideas and suggestions.

Thank you

I will purchase a receiver for this area of the house. I'm open to ideas, but would like to keep the receiver under $500, and speakers under $1500

What are the dimensions of the rec room? It's hard to make out on you plans

What type of speakers are you cool with?

I would focus you audio budget on you theater. And maybe just go for a $500-750 stereo set up for rec room.
