Are INFINITY p 136 and p 363?

Id like to know are they the least/low end quality speaker for anew home theater user? Coz i notice alot of people suggest them but they own diffrent brand of speakers. I just like to make sure i wont be upgrading speaker 5-7 years down the road when i get them.

P136s are tiny - maybe good enough for surrounds.

P363s are good mains, but they really need a good subwoofer to sing. But so does any other so-called full range speaker.

PC351 is a good center.

Most of us already have speakers when we make these recommendations but if you're looking to get started with an good inexpensive set of speakers the Infinity P163 and 363 would be a very good choice, especially when they're on sale.

the Pioneer Andrew Jones FS52 and BS22 speakers are also very good speakers for those on a budget. Which one is better? That's up to the listener. Speaker preference is subjective, one person may like one over the other as we all hear things differently.

You may want to buy new speakers 5-7 years down the road because your listening preferences may change or you have a larger budget. I have different speakers than I did 7 years ago.

There is no one speaker fits all.

What's your current budget?

I use the Infinity P163 for fronts in my 5.2 set up and they are good speakers. (Great speakers for $59 each.) While I have the Infinity center, if I was doing it over, I would just use a P163 for the center and save $50. I have been completely satisfied with the sound they produce unlike the Energy Take One Classic speakers I started with.

I would add two more @$59 (Amazon) if I thought my "rear" stands would hold them.

I have almost the same set up you are going for. I have a Denon X 2000, a pair of p363's and a PC 351 up front, an SVS PB-2000, and P163's as surrounds. I have another set of P363s I could use as surrounds but I'm using them somewhere else in the house.

I picked all the infinity speakers up at the best sale prices they have been at for a while. Better heads might've said I should spend more on the speakers as I spent almost double on the sub. But one could argue that at regular sale prices the Infinitys would've cost me more than the sub.

All in all, the speakers sound fantastic for the price, and the sub is phenomenal. It's a huge step up for me, although I realize that the speakers are not flashy or impressive in the least.

That is what an upgrade in 5 to 7 years is for :-) BTW, are you saying p136 and meaning p163? I can even find those. The lower end goes 143, 153, 163.

You should set up an alert on Slickdeals or somewhere, they have been 107 and even down to 100 just this past week on Amazon. The PC 351 is a different beast, 199 seems to be the sale price and the lowest new usually goes for. Most would say go for a few 163 vertical as your center, but I had to go with the PC 351 for WAF.
