Neither. I'd go for PB/PC model. Although I do prefer SB design in my rooms. You have a large room, and it's for movies, so I'd look into PB2000 minimum.

I have had
PC Plus 20-39
PC Ultra 13
SB 12+
SB Ultra 13

Krell Evolution 900e x 7

Bose Jewel speakers.

IIRC the PB-1000 and SB-2000 are pretty even when it comes to output, but the SB-2000 is more accurate. I would go with that, your room isn't huge so it should still be fine in that space. I would probably consider adding a second one in the future though.

EDIT: I added pb1000
sb1000 on sale for $475+$65 for shipping= $540
sb2000 on sale for $649+$97 for shipping= $746
pb1000 $499+$141 for shipping= $640

they also have offer for dual subs
Dual SB-1000 / $949.00 not included the quoted shipping above which I think same price but doubled.
which I tried to calculate $949+$130 for shipping= $1079<--- dual SB1000

Dual SB-2000 / $1,299.00 not included the quoted shipping above which I think same price but doubled.
which I tried to calculate $1,299+$194 for the shipping= $1,493<----dual SB2000

Dual PB-1000 / $949.00 not included the quoted shipping above which I think same price but doubled.
which I tried to calculate $949+$282 for the shipping= $1,231<----dual PB1000

which u guys think is more reasonable price/ needed for my living room?

I'd get the single best sub you can afford, and if you need another, get another. Rather than two, lower quality subwoofers.

oh $1500 isn't far off a single SB Ultra or indeed PB/PC Plus...that's less.

I think the dual PB-1000 would be a good choice out of those, still pretty close to your budget, but better performance than the SB-1000s.

will buying one pb1000 be ok for now then get the other pb1000 for a year or two? btw the pb1000 got 10 inch woofer while the sb2000 got 12 inch woofer is PB1000 still superior to SB2000 in terms of loudness, clarity and deepbass?

The SB-2000 is a better sub in my opinion. With the stronger amp and bigger woofer, it is pretty close to the PB-1000 in output, but it is more accurate and should sound better. I would make a post in the sub-woofer sub-forum and see what they say.

Get the PB2000, minimum. Then another PB2000 if you want another.

Or if $1500 is your limit, get a PB12 Plus.

Honestly this isn't good advice.

Always go with two subs when it's possible. Especially since the dual subs you are looking at are not very compromised designs.

Two subwoofers give you mode cancellation options and have the ability to provide higher fidelity than any single super sub can.

Theater room: Sony VPL HW30ES, DIY 100" screen with Seymour Centerstage XD, 5 Revel M105, 2 JBL Studio 210, 4 SVS SB12-NSD, Anthem MRX-300
Living room: Panasonic TC-P60VT60, 3 KEF LS50, Pioneer SW-8, Marantz NR1603

Not everyone is interested in duals.
