Wireless speaker setup

Hello all, any help with the below is appreciated.

Goal:

Have a wireless 3.1 setup in living room.

Two wireless speakers on deck.

Stereo receiver capable of doing both of the above.

Cheap as possible.

I have searched and searched and am not able to get off of the ground with this project.

Pretty tough set of specs. For home theater, most people are looking for wireless solutions for the rear channels as it's generally accepted that the front soundstage is going to be wired. I think the closest thing you're going to find to meet your criteria is something from Sonos.

How about the center speaker being the receiver and wired to the TV with the other 2 speakers being wireless? I could live with that if it exists

It could be done, but don't know how well. Wireless kits consist of a transmitter, which installs at the source, and a receiver. The receiver generally has a built-in amplifier, which is used to drive the connected speakers. There will be a power cord needed for the receiver, and speaker wires running from the transmitter to the connected speaker. Hardly wireless. If you want a wireless front soundstage I'd seriously look at a nice soundbar with wireless subwoofer. Plenty of these on the market, with prices from a couple of hundred dollars to a couple of thousand dollars. In my home theater I have a wired front soundstage, and wireless rears, using the Rocketfish wireless speaker kit.

Any particular product you have heard good things about in the soundbar category?

If you're still looking at whole house wireless, look at Sonos. They have a nice soundbar, and a nice selection of wireless speakers. In the case of Sonos, the wireless signal is via your home wifi. For other soundbars I'd recommend you post in the soundbar forum. An important piece of info that you haven't mentioned is budget. Like I said, you can spend hundreds, or you can spend thousands. A budget will help you get more realistic suggestions.

I, too, was hoping to find a wireless, whole house, audio system. In our case it is an existing Florida condo.
Would like speakers in LR, 2 separate decks, Bedroom (maybe both bedrooms), maybe bath and kitchen. This would be for music only. We would have bought a sound bar for our 6+ y.o. Panny Plasma - but it only has "old-fashioned" dual wires (left and right) out. No optical out, no HDMI out.

Indoing a Google search found this from Samsung:
http://www.samsung.com/us/video/home-audio/WAM250/ZA

I'll look at Sonos that was mentioned above by a couple people.

Thanks
