Fluance High Fidelity?

Hey Everyone,

Anyone have an opinion on these speakers:

http://www.amazon.com/Fluance-SV10S-...+high+fidelity

I have been working on a small theater room (10x15) with a BenQ W1070. I have been looking for some speakers for around a month now with no real luck on a decent deal.

Just looking to see what you guys think of this and also:

Thank you very much!

Fluance are ok for the price, but nothing special. The $99 price is actual normal for them. You do get what you pay for. For a cheap set, they will serve you just fine though. Many people buy them and are very happy with them, but keep your expectations in line with the price. The particular model you are looking at is on sale direct from Fluance at the moment.

Here are some other alternatives to look at:

Yeah, I was originally looking on the Fluance website since they give free shipping to Canada. I am just looking for an entry level system. Figure if I can get a 5.1 setup with a receiver for $500 I will be pretty happy. Just been looking around and figuring out the best way to spread out funds.

The pioneers get a lot of love for a low cost speaker. They are frequently on sale for a very low price, but I am not sure how available they are in Canada. For instance, here's a pair of towers on sale:

Several Polk speakers also go on sale for a very low price from time to time and are good for the sale price but again, not sure if you get them up there at the deal prices we do.

Thanks for the advice. Think it is always more beneficial to get tower speakers for the front speakers?

Only if you don't use a subwoofer.
