Can my receiver power these speakers?

I just picked up a pair of Klipsch KF-28's

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16886200003

Receiver I have is a Harman Kardon AVR7550HD..
http://www.amazon.com/Harman-Kardon-.../dp/B002E285UO

Receiver is gettin older, but don't want to upgrade right now xD.

Will I be good to go or may I need an amp?

Most Klipsch speakers are some of the easiest speakers to drive there are. Your receiver will have no problem. The H/K 7550 is actually a beast back from when H/K was actually honest with watt ratings (instead of finally giving in to fudging the numbers like everybody else). I'd have more faith with that receiver being able to power stuff than 95% of the receivers on the market today (as well as a good many amps).

Thanks! Good to know.

I picked up the 7550HD in 2009 or 2010 for something silly like $450 shipped. I'm not the most knowledgeable home theater guy but I've always been satisfied with it.

You got a good deal. That was a legitimate $1000+ receiver when it came out. I wish I had one. Newer receivers aren't any more powerful than older ones (and frequently the new ones are less powerful as they have to cut corners somewhere to meet a price), they just add new features.
