In ceiling speaker placement
I am moving into a new house at the end of the month that is prewired for sound in the living room. I am going low budget monoprice speakers in the living room since I will have a media room that I will get good speakers for.
The builder ran the wires to a blue box that is nailed to a stud. I was going to get the 8inch round speaker from monoprice, but I am concerned that this will not cover the hole in the drywall from the blue box because the stud is in the way. see the attached picture, the blue box is under the white plate.
I was thinking of using the square in wall speakers from monoprice. anyone have this same problem? I don't really want to patch any of the hole that would not be covered by the round speakers.
