Seeking help.

Hello, decided to finally get a Home theater system.

Now time to buy some speakers.. can someone refer some great speakers that don't break the bank but still produce great sound?

A little more info would help. Do you already have an avr? Going to use a subwoofer? How many speakers? And most important, budget?

Yes, I bought a Denon AVR-3313CI some weird guy on Facebook said if I wanted even the crapest speakers to sound good i needed that receiver.. I thought he might be under the influence but I decided to take his word for it. Then I stumbled upon this website when I googled cheap speakers.

It's a 19x19x10 room... Soooo like 5 speaker total??? yes 4 or 5!!

Budget... less as possible but still create good sound.

An amp can't make crap speakers sound good. But a good amp can make the best out of a speaker.

For audio system you need at least a stereo pair of speakers. Then a center, side pair, rear pair, and a subwoofer.

What is your budget? Also do you want the whole lot in one go, or going to add speakers as you go along? If doing the latter don't leave remaining speaker purchase too long as they may go out of production.

Kinda add as I go kind of on a budget but was thinking 2 bookshelf speakers to start off with.
Goal budget $300 or less..

Probably look at Kef Q or Q Acoustics, something like that - standmount.

Or you could look at second hand, I got $1500 standmounts for $225

That will be fine - and they are nice for that price.

I'd second the Ascend recommendation and also look at pioneer and Chane for speakers. Speakers will make a much larger difference than the choice of receiver
