speaker placement question

hi all, a quick question for the masters. i've stuck with 5.2 for a long time, but recently decided to run a 7.2 setup. my fronts are polk RTiA9s and the center is a CSiA6. my surrounds are FXiA6s and i dug up my old pair of RM8s to add for the 6th and 7th channels. i have the FXs set up as the surround back r/l and the RMs as the surround r/l. my question is would you keep it that way or swap the positions of the FXs and the RMs? since i'm new to the 7 channel world, i don't know if there would be much of a difference. thanks for any help!

Put the ones you think are the better sounding speaker on the sides and put the other ones in the back.
